Been watching a singing competition and keep hearing the judges telling the contestants to "sing with your heart", "feel with your heart"...
And yes, i do agree that committing emotions/true feelings into the thing u do makes a big difference to the outcome.
But my heart is tired. "she" never stops working. Pumping blood all the blood, "she" still needs to make me feel. The love, the anger, the sorrow, the disappointment, the thrill........
in chinese we say, 用心去做."do it with your heart". Feel with your heart, love with your heart, strive with your heart........... How straining is it for "the heart"
and yes, "she" is tired now.. but can "she" take a break?...

There's a quote that's parallel to "do it with your heart."
It says, "have a garden in your heart." It highlights the need for a back door where all the day's frustration can be digested and released/let go and our hearts, "reset" (renewed). For some, it's family and loved ones; for others, it's sports, hobbies, diary & a good night sleep or a pleasant meal.
Anyway, long-time reader but first-time commentator here. Great blog! Have no doubt that you can get through this hiatus stronger than ever. Take care!
wow.. i like the "have a garden in your heart".. thanks for reminding me that. great comment indeed.
nice knowing u here. Have a great day1
You are more than welcome.
It's said that sorrow and challenges are essential aspects of life. How else would we know joy without sorrow, triumph without challenges, right? Few years from now, you would be amazed by how strong you have become through time of adversity. :)
Greetings from Pacific Northwest!
yup. i know. totally appreciate everything in my life.
hows life on the other end of the globe for u?

Weather is fair (frigid!) & food is good; all in all, things are as good can be expected at the moment.
How are things for you there? Holiday season is just around the corner (according to Western calender, that is). Will you be heading home or traveling then?
hey.. thats good. u working?
Well, i m gonna graduate soon and will travel around australia before heading home to malaysia. :)
Yeah, i graduated from med school in 07 & am working as a 2nd year resident here. Plan to move to somewhere warmer upon completing the program though (was born in Taiwan).
That sounds like a great plan! Wish that i can travel more often in the future. Keep us/your readers posted :)
thats cool. Liking ur job?
Wat do write in ur blogs?? :)
Considering all the joy, sorrow, stories, stress [and occasional abuse], working in a hospital can be fun once you get a hang of it. Residency is the time when our skills, knowledge and clinical acumen are sharpened - it'd be worthwhile (just doesn't seem like it at the moment, lol).
Oh, i haven't updated the blogs for quite some time, hence the closure. "Quiet Courage" is about the folks i met at hospital & those i read about who happen to inspire me. "Common Denominator" is loosely on my experience working for nonprofit org.
Anyway, would you mind if we chat via emails from this point forth? If not, i would love to hear from you! Take care.
sounds great. Which department in the hospital do u work in??
sure. whats ur email?
