Death Note 2 The Last Name

Went to watch Death Note "spontaneous-ly" with Becca, Huiqin & Heather a few months ago. Although i fell asleep at some part, I think that the movie was not bad. Pretty interesting. Guess people who love Nancy Drew when they were young, they would love this too.

Death Note 2 The Last Name was out in Taiwan like super long ago. .. And now it's out in Singapore. It will be out in Malaysia only on (WTH) 1st Feb 2007!... Lousy Betul...ish.. Might as well dont release man..

Here's some info about it...

Light joins the task force searching for Kira in an effort to avert suspicion from himself and also, to get rid of L. The mystery deepens as another Death Note with its God of Death, is brought into the human world. A second and third Kira complicates the mystery. Making things even more unpredictable are the 'Eyes of Death', given to the second Kira, enabling the owner to know the true identity and lifespan of any person. Who would get hold of the 'Trump Card' which would determine the outcome of events? And who will be the Last name?

Dong zhi and Christmas 2006

MeRRy ChriSTMas EveryOnE!!!! MaY Your Wishes CoMe TrUE!!

*CHRISTMAS EVE*

Pat and his sis with the food.

Went to pat's house for Christmas Eve Party.. Helped his mom and sis a little with the cooking. I must say the food was not bad... especially the "pig in blanket"(according to his family)-it's basically sausage wrapped with bacon. i kinda liked it... :D

His dad was funny... he din exactly plan the new house renovation. Then when his frens came.. one of the uncles said to pat's sis:" wah..ur father is very capable huh..can make the house until like this.." Then pat's sis whispered to pat and i:" i think he is talking bout ah ma.. daddy din even do anything.." haha... on top of that.. his dad was trying to explain to his frens how the plasma tv can be hung on the wall...wat the designer did.. bla bla bla. While he was doing that, pat n his sis was like..:"he don't know anything one la..he simply crap one.." It was really funny..cos his dad sounded like he was damn pro when he was explaining. But his kids were so sure that he knew nothing.. I guess it's a man's ego to wanna be pro in front of his frens..

*Dong Zhi*

Last friday it was "Dong Zhi"..(i m not sure whether there is an english name for it).. It's kinda like a day for family reunion and u must eat "Tang Yuan" .. So my relatives came over to my place for dinner .. The cousin that i love to the max was here too!...

Back from China

Yo ! just came back from China... Went to Shanghai, Wuxi, HangZhou, ShuZhou and NanJing.. Here's some pics....
(too many pics..so hav to put them in grid.. can click on it to view the larger version)

The Scenery...

The City...

The Buildings...

The Food..

Other Specialities...
1. a super huge tv screen on a boat
2. making of silt quilt
3. crystal art
4. the Mi Le Buddha
5 & 6. The local performance in HangZhou
7. The San Guo Yian Yi Act
8. Frying tea leaf
9. The "San Mi Jiu" (alcohol)

Cute China Kids..
China & Me

Hmm... How do i feel about China/What have i experienced???

*The Good*

1. The people are quite friendly (of cos there are rude ones..but very few of them)

2. There are a lot of stuff to learn and see about China..like the history, the scenery, the cities..etc

3. Their old and unique culture, tradition and history are fascinating..

4. The weather can be nice when it is cold but not windy.

5. Most of the toilets r not so bad.. At least most of them r clean and "complete" and u no longer need to use umbrella to cover ur butt when u pee.

*The Bad*

1. China people don't drive according to rules when the police r not around. They dont follow the traffic light most of the time and you should always be extra careful when crossing the road, no matter whether u r using the pedestrian crossing or not.

2. A LOT of the public and hotel toilets/bathroom use those kinda "semi-transparent" glass/plastic or wateva material for their doors and walls. . They make people like my sis feel a little awkward..hehe

3. Every meal(lunch/dinner) i had there consist of fish, pork, chicken, prawn, veg and one or two kind of soups. In total there would always be about 10 dishes excluding fruits and tea and beer. My goodness... that was really a good weight-gaining program. Oh one more thing, the food there is SUPER OILY and sometimes quite salty... I wonder if their cooking oil and salt r really that cheap.

*The Ugly*

1. A lot of china man STILL have the habit of spititng everywhere. ARH!..this is one thing that i cant stand. It seemed so natural for them to spit anywhere, anytime. There were a few cases when some man spitted RIGHT NEXT TO ME... my goodness... I even saw motices that remind people to not vandalise and litter.. but there was no sign or reminder of not spitting. I wonder y...

2. Almost all china man smoke... even the tour guide told us so. They emphasized on drinking tea and exercising for good health.. but hello!..eating super oily food and smoking ain gonna help.

Well every country has his good and bad...Overall, i enjoyed the trip. China is getting more and more developed and structured. It was also more interesting than i thought it would be. Got to learn more about the chinese culture and i must say some part of the chinese history can be very inspiring... There was so much about chinese culture..felt kinda shameful to know so little bout it. ..... Well of cos..If there is a chance, i don't mind travelling to other parts of china in the future. It is really not as bad as u think it may be..haha...

Star awards

watching Star awards 2006 now..(a Spore local chinese tv award) There are some funny parts n of cos there are some parts when me n my family juat cant stop commenting and cursing...hehe

comments:(that's just what i think... some people may think otherwise)

1. some artiste can really be so so fake .. I dont see a point of overeacting when ur fren received an award. Is it bcos u need that few seconds of exposure or u r jus being urself? If u were really touched, it would have looked real.

2. Some actor must be so damn dramatic n just cant wait to tell everyone about his sad, pathetic n super old story. Does he know that he was making a fool out of himself and hello!..people watching were all like.."omg..what he is thinking... so embarassing.."

3. some award presentors and some artistes are quite funny GENUINELY... N i love the how hongkong artistes speak mandarin... So funny...

4. the female host is so pretty...(Hou Pei Chen)... She is so sweet-looking and she is wat i call class...

Salesman/woman

Nowadays..salesman/saleswoman can REALLY be so persistent n creative

Case 1:

Pat and i were walking towards the escalator in Leisure Mall. Then this woman promoting a Spa package came to me. "Xiao Jie, would u like to try out our spa package... bla bla bla" I gave her a smile and continued walking. Then all of a sudden she held my arm TIGHTLY.(not jus touch ok, she was so holding my arm).. WHAT THE CRAP!.. I went " Excuseeeee Meeeeeee.." And she was like... "Miss, give us a chance la.." Then eventually she let go.... What the hell man...Dont be surprise if u meet a salesgirl that hug u while promoting stuff.

Case 2:

Pat n i walked pass this vcd shop in Holiday Plaza. We din show any intention of going into the shop at all. Then one Ah Beng standing outside the shop stretched out his hand sideway ALL OF A SUDDEN and said " Zeeppp..." to "display" his namecard to pat. (he was damn dramatic man..i swear when he showed his namecard he said.."zeep..." ). Followed by that, he continued his line: " can order from us and we will deliver it to u.." Arh.. that was really funny. But he had a his own smart and "creative" way of attracting attention.

Pat's New house..

Pat has finally moved out of his old place.. his new place is so much nicer compared to the old one... He was so excited to show me around. He even showed me those tiny little stuff like the wall paper. the lights, etc. Hmm..one bad thing bout his place is that not a lot of people have moved in to the new estate. And also the phone line can't be set up yet. ... But overall it is nice. the guard was nice too. He didnt even ask me for my ID hahaha....

Pringles-ing in his room..

Hide and Seek in the living room

The dining room...

He loves the plasma tv...

Oh yeah..and finally MERDEKA!!!.... NO MORE EXAMS FOR NOW!... woohoo....
Things that i thought of doing..(u will tend to plan a lot of stuff while studying for exam too right?)

1. Go to the beach
2. Shop
3. Catch up with friends
4. Go KL to meet up with the gang
5. Swim
6. Jog
7. Visit Grandma
8. Watch some drama series
9. Spa & Sauna
10. Get my hair trimmed
11. Be crazy
12. Relax
13. Travel
14. Celebrate Christmas & New Year
15. bla bla bla....etc
16. and of cos all in all....JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!

Well well well...there is just too little time for so much stuff. And i bet half of the stuff is not gonna be done. Ok.. maybe i should start planning now..
